Blue Candle of Hope

Child abuse prevention is an important mission of the Exchange Club of Madison. The problem of child abuse is often difficult to see, and generating awareness can be difficult. During the holiday season, the National Exchange Club encourages people to embrace children who have been emotionally, physically, or sexually abused or neglected by placing a candle with a blue bulb in the window of their home or business.

By using the Blue Candle of Hope campaign during the holidays, you can encourage those in our community to show support for children everywhere. Simply purchase an electric or battery-operated candle and a blue bulb. Place your candle in the window of a home or business and make a statement that children must be honored, loved, and cherished.

During our Christmas Tree Sale Fundraiser on the Madison Green, beginning Friday, Nov. 24, we will be handing out blue bulbs for those who request one while supplies last. The Exchange Club also asks you to encourage others in your neighborhood, your office, and on your social media sites to show their support of the Blue Candle of Hope campaign. We hope that you will join us this year to begin a Madison tradition that shows all children deserve love.Â
